Exciting times as the Annual Art Exhibition approaches : September 11th - 20th

 

Matric Exhibitions

At the end of every year, the Matrics each set up a personal exhibition of their year's work to be marked, and then moderated by external examinations. Here are images of some of those exhibitions.

Exhibition 2012

The opening night, which by invitation only, is on 19 September and the exhibition is being opened by Mrs Lindsay Abrahams, who is the principal of Victoria Primary School. As with last year, all the second term's projects throughout the grades were centered around one theme: "Text and Time". Therefore this year one of the rooms of the exhibition is going to solely dedicated to this theme.

Bathurst Show 2012

It may be somewhat early to start mentioning the Bathurst Show, but the learners are already hard at work preparing  for the art section of the show. The Bathurst Show runs during the Easter holidays from 30 March to 1st April 2012. Click on the link if you would like to find out more about the Bathurst Show.

We'll be putting up pictures of the learners artworks as time draws nearer to the competition.

Matric Exhibtion

Now that the Annual school exhibition is out of the way, the Matrics now each have to put up their own personal exhibition of works from through the year. This work will be moderated within the next three weeks and the mark will go towards their final Matric mark.

Carinus Art Exhibition - SETTING UP

At the end of our third term, we held our annual Exhibition. Here are some photos from the week before, when the teachers were busy organizing and setting up the exhibition .

Annual Art Exhibtion

Well, its third term and that means that the school's annual art exhibition is coming up soon. Every year the teachers of both the junior learners (Grade 4 - 9) and the senior learners (Grade 10 -12) choose the best artwork to be displayed in a week long exhibition that is open to the public.

This year the opening night, which by invitation only, is on 21 September and the exhibition is being opened by Mr Keith van Winkel, who is the Director of the Arthur Cotton Center for Design and Technology at St Andrew's College.This year we are also doing something a little different. All the second project throughout the grades were centered around our environment and as artists and designers it is important to be aware of the effect that we have. Therefore this year one of the rooms of the exhibition is going to solely dedicated to environmental awareness - "The Green Room".

ART EXHIBTION!!!

On the 15th September 2010, we are holding our annual art exhibition at Carinus. Works selected from all grades from our feeder schools. Children whose work is being exhibited are invited to the opening night along with their parents, and other specials guests. The week following the opening is open to the public, every week day from 8am - 4pm. Please come and have a look at the lovely hard work the children have been doing this year.
